When a Pullback Is Not a Reversal

Calling every pause a turn empties your account. Use structure shifts, not hope, to separate pullbacks from reversals.

A pullback respects the prior trend’s structure. A reversal changes it. Confusing the two is the most expensive habit we see in reversal journals.

Require a shift: a broken swing sequence, a failed retest of the break, or a clear change in who is defending the level. A single engulfing candle against the trend is not enough on its own.

Map your reversal calls against one higher timeframe. If the higher frame still prints higher highs and higher lows, label the move a pullback until structure says otherwise.
